Has anyone done this detox before?
It is the "lemonade diet."

You can only have:
2 tbsp lemon/lime juice
2 tbsp real maple syrup
1/10 tbsp cayenne pepper
water

Mix it all up and that is the only thing you consume for 10 days.
Usually around 6-12 glasses a day.

Thinking about it.

I've started it several times but could never stick with it. I know several friends who have done it and they feel spectacular afterwards. They lose weight and look great.

A group of people I worked with, did this diet.....and they lost a lot of weight in a very short period of time.

No way this any good, each serving is only 50 calories, youd have to drink it 16 times a day to reach 800 calories which is a very, very low calorie diet. 40 times a day to reach the average amount of calories needed. This will do more harm than good, your body will go into starvation mode, and begin to slow your metabolism and retain fat. Your body will then begin to eat itself, muscle and fat. When you return to "normal" eating you will feel the need to eat more, resulting in you gaining weight in the long run.

The people that I know who did this diet, ate a lot of fruit while doing it.....I dont know if that is part of the diet or what. They also drank a ton of water.

That's not exactly accurate. Organic Grade B Maple Syrup is part of the concoction. You have 2 Tbs per mixture, which is 100 calories and you are required to have 6-12 glasses a day, which is 600-1200 calories from the syrup alone.
